50-60-70 Birthday Celebrations!

On 19 January this year we good knees up to celebrate three January birthdays - Julie's was 50 on the 3rd, Grace was 70 on the 14th and Mike was 60 on the 26th. We went to Tafarn y Deri near Pontarddulais. The occasion was also an opportunity to celebrate the 21st birthday of Kirsty, Julie's daughter.

A special cake was made by Julie's son Gareth, a Patisserie Chef. The oblong cake featured chocolate 'Happy Birthday To All' writing and 21, 50, 60 and 70 birthday numbers. There was also plenty of balloons around with all the ages printed on.
The meal was lovely and a good time was had by all!

Yum yum yum! Who's counting the calories?!

Big celebrations ahead!

Mervyn will be celebrating this Saturday when his newly married son Philip will be returning from Hawaii with his new wife Anita. Mervyn has organised a party at the Village Hotel near Swansea.

Philip and Anita have been in Hawaii for a month. Mervyn has made surf key rings for all 120 guests at the party. All these wooden keyrings have been made by hand by Mervyn in the craft room at Coleshill Centre.

Mervyn has also made special love spoons for the happy couple and their mothers. The married couple's spoon features a Hawaiian island, palm trees, a horeseshoe, heart and burnt-on Hawaiian flowers.
